Get Fit: Day 7 & 8
Hello internet and future self. It's Day 7 of my Fitness journey. I've worked out everyday at the gym except Sunday. Honestly, my muscles feel pretty tired and there are times where I collectively just feel tired. But I know that if I want the results I want, I have to press on and move forward. I went to the gym during "rush hour" and there was human traffic at the member locker area. It was kinda weird, especially since the gym is typically with light people traffic. After settling down, the elliptical I wanted to get on was used by another member. I decided to retry the full body workout I did on my first day with Lara. Surprisingly, it was much easier to do the exercises and I was not even close to the soreness I had on my first day. Because I did the full body workout first, it did throw my entire workout off. I think I'll need to commit to cardio first before I do any lifting or body training. I'm also thinking about doing cardio as one of the last few things after working out my body, so that I get the residual calorie burning after I leave the gym. For dinner, I went back to Da Juice Bar place and tried a vegan burger. It wasn't so bad, pretty good (not great), but they closed early at 7PM. I also went to Trader Joe's right after so that I had food for the week. This time around, I was checking all the nutrition labels, trying to get my dosage of sodium, sugars, and fats down to a minimum. I also ended up buying several types of nuts: cashews, and an almond trail mix. These are to help supplement my hunger in between meals. I still feel determined. In my next post, I will write out the reasons why I want do this. Hopefully, that will keep me accountable and consistent as I go through my fitness journey process.
