Get Fit: Day 6

Hello internet and future self. I gym'ed today! I started off with 20 minutes of the elliptical and tried changing up the exercise by adding squats while on the machine. It was a pretty good cardio workout, especially with the new Fitness Motivation playlist I made on Spotify. I tried the Fat Loss workout I signed up for on the Anytime Fitness app. First set was fairly easy since it consisted of jumping jacks, squats, and ab crunches. However, the next set was a little embarrassing to do. It involved high kicks which made the fat in the front of my body jiggle up and down pretty horrifically. It discouraged me from continuing the workout. I ended up changing the variety of body workouts rather than continuing with the planned fat loss workouts. Lara, the Anytime Fitness trainer who originally signed me up for the gym, took notice of me and asked how I was doing since our last workout together. I explained how I felt in the beginning, soreness all throughout the body. I did tell her that I kept moving, the soreness eventually went away. She encouraged me to keep at it; she's really pretty and hard to say no to. It's been almost a week since I've started my fitness journey and I am starting to find what I like to do at the gym. The workout looks something like this:

  1. Ellipticals with variety in form.
  2. Body workouts variety

    1. Pushups
    2. Ab Crunches
    3. Jumping Jacks
    4. etc
  3. Ham String Machine
  4. Ab Curl Machine
  5. Water Row Machine
  6. Alternating Ropes

For dinner, I went to a Poke shop place and got three servings protein (immediately after working out). It was amazing and need to add more of those types of food variety into my routine. Remember why you are doing this, trust the process, do it with intensity, and results will come.
